Ever thought a song sounded like it was written just for you?

I do all the time. I constantly look for metaphor and meaning in the songs I listen to.

So this is a thread for very PERSONAL lyrics. Just a line or the whole song. You can post why it's relevant to you. Or not.

I'm going to start off with some lyrics that are always quoted in relation to the forum.

This is "Our Song"... it spoke to us because we were both leading hectic lives and working crazy hours and dealing with large, boisterous families, so our time alone together & all of the simple things we could enjoy & celebrate brought us peace & contentment.

Many songs have significant reasons for me to connect to them

 

There were times in my life when I was important but right now ain't one of them times............. There were times in my life when I wanted more than but right now I'm feelin just fine...........It was easier said than it's done we were runnin away just for fun ............. It was horrible even in plans for evnin if I am the only one.

 

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
